Pre-order list: the I'm super glad the world didn't end edition!

DonationCropIf the world totally ended last year that would mean that I would never get any of the cool stuff that I have on my pre-order list. Now that it is 2013 and it has been more than six months since the last pre-order list is time to see what the new year has ahead for me.

February

First up is my beloved Nanoha, she is the one character I have the most figures of. A trend that I will probably mention more than once with this list is how for a great deal of the figures listed pretty much every single one has been delayed. Nanoha is one such case originally this figma was to be released in December but now it ended being delayed twice to this month.

That aside, yay more Nanoha figma goodness! Although I do question why I decided to buy this figma, I mean it is like 99% the same as the movie version that I already own. I do suppose a great deal of my desire is that she comes from the movie adaptation of A's arguably the best Nanoha show and my favorite.

If you get Nanoha you totally need to get Fate too!

I was never a fan of how Fate looked in the original show or the movie; however, her updated look in A's and now the second movie is more up my alley. I already received the Sonic Form version figma and now wait for Fate's regular form. I do find it kinda odd getting the alternate form before this one though but like I mentioned before delays! Oh so massive delays!

I'm super glad that I am an Aigis fan, if I was bigger fan of any of the other girls from Persona 3 I would so be getting the short end of the stick. I don't know why but figure manufactures sure love making figures of Aigis. I'm glad they do because I was able to get awesome figures like the ART WORKS ver. I reviewed before. Heck just with Max factory alone this will be the third figma they do of Aigis after her Persona 3 and Persona 3 FES looks.

Since she looks as how she appears in Persona 4 Arena I totally hope she is in scale with Yukiko and Chie because the previous two Aigis figmas totally weren't!

March

First up for March is a figure that most people are probably really familiar with, Yagyu Jubei from Hyakka Ryouran.

I admit I have yet to go past the first episode of the show but I always been a fan of the visual design of the characters and the show itself. Orignally when this figure was released I simply did not have enough moneys to get her at the time. When Alter did a release my indecisiveness led to the figure being sold out even if she was available for a while. Now the third time around I pre-ordered her immediately!

Although due to a changing financial situation I will most likely end up cancelling her.

Now say what you may about Infinite Stratos as a show but I found the girls to be very darn appealing. This is one of those situations where my favorite figure manufacturer, Alter, makes a figure of my favorite girl from a show, Laura, in a costume I really like, maid uniform.

When Laura first went up for reservations a lot of people complained about her price, including my figure blogging friends. Although a bit higher than usual it is Alter, they will deliver no doubt, and Laura comes with a variety of display options. Then again this could be my bias talking.

Again with like Yubei I might cancel Laura even with as much as I like her, she is simply the most expensive scaled figure in my pre-order list. However, if the USD/Yen ration continues as it is I might reconsider and still get her.

You know what I hate? Exclusive figures. You know what I hate about exclusive figures? Paying a mark up to a middleman to get one. You know what I hate about committing to buy with a said middleman? Not being able to cancel without a fee.

Which is what I would have done if I didn't get charged 15% of the cost of the figure and a permanent ban from the store, geez! After I ordered Tenshi she was promptly listed for a cheaper price on the Good Smile Web shop.

Alas, nothing I can do now but that's ok because this is a very pretty figure! I really liked GSC's previous Tenshi and I find this one even more appealing. It really plays on Tenshi's angel imagery much more than the other figure and for some reason the dress is castoffable.

I just hope the wings are not a pain in the ass like before.

I don't particularly like Madoka all that much so I was not crazy and/or stupid enough to go out and buy GSC's scaled figure. However, a figma of Madokami? That I am willing to buy, after all I already own all the previously released Madoka figmas and would like to complete the set.

One thing worries me about this figma though, her skirt. I get the feeling nice dynamic poses with Madokami wont be something that will be able to be done.

The figma line has been very nice to me over the years. Several times I thought to myself, I sure wish this one character got a figma, and you know what? Several times it has happened, Henrietta is one such case. Why now so long after the anime aired I have no idea but I am glad it happened.

When I first started actively watching anime Gunslinger Girls was one of the shows that had the most impact on me, Henrietta was the same. I talked about that a bit when I did my photo shoot of GSC's Henrietta. As such, I'm super happy she is getting a figma, even if she got delayed by two months. Plus this figma will fulfill another of my figma wishes, a figma sized P90, I love that gun!

After I got my orignal Guts figma I thought to myself, man it would be really awesome if Max Factory did a Berserker Armor Guts. Then it happened...

This figma is actually bundled with the upcoming volume of the Berserk manga, which is pretty cool. I'm also glad I was for once camping AmiAmi to pre-order it as it quickly became sold out not only there but essentially everywhere in matter of hours.

April

I have found all the Madoka scaled figures pretty darn boring, the ones that I did like where usually garage kits. One time I saw one such garage kit in a Japanese blog I follow and lamented that it was one.

Luckily enough for me Gift came to the rescue and decided to make a figure of that garage kit. This figure is not everyone's cup of tea, much like Gift's Sabers, it is a stylistic affair different from the normal. As for me, I love it, it wouldn't be the first time I bought a Gift figure where the style of the face was a big issue with people.  While this will probably scratch my scaled Homura figure itch I do still wish GSC or Alter would do one of her as she appears in the epilogue with the witch like wings.

I really don't care much for Beach Queen figures but I will admit that individually some of them are quite nice such as Exilehero's Cecilia. I actually own the BQ rendition of Biri Biri in her frilly swimsuit and as such getting Misaka-imouto to complement her seems like a good plan to me. I don't know why though but I find something about this figure so appealing, so very Misaka-imouto like.

Although, she might be one of the figures I cancel but even then since she is a BQ getting her later shouldn't be too hard or expensive.

Next up is the self proclaimed student council president from Persona 4 Arena. You know, there is something about the way Shigenori Soejima designs his robot girls. They are a very nice mix of robot and girl not too much or too little of either.

He really is one of my favorite character designers lately and as a fan of the Persona series and Persona 4 Arena getting Labrys seems like a must for me. It does suck though that she was originally scheduled for this month but now I gotta wait an extra two months for her.

Mami, everyone's lovable headless sempai! Because of her I decided to go and collect the uniform versions of the Madoka girls. Mami ended up being a regular release after Madoka and Homura where exclusives making it easier to complete the set.

One of the things I like about characters getting more than one figma is that this result in a greater degree of playability due to more expressions and accessories. Finally people will be getting their tea cup, which apparently was a very big omission on the original since people kept complaining about it.

Pretty obvious right? Of course I'm getting Sayaka too. One of my disappointments with figma Sayaka is that no crazy face was included. Sadly neither does the uniform version but it makes up for it for that stupid smirk of hers, I really like that expression. Plus she comes with a surprised expression so now she can be aghast at the situation together with Madoka.

Now all that is left is for Kyouko to be announced, although I do wonder if she will get her casual clothes or a uniform.

Did I ever mention I am a really big Precure fan? No? Well, I am!!!

You wanna know how much? According to my newly created MAL profile, feel free to add me, I have watched 348 episodes and eight movies and spend nearly 100 days of my life doing so. Mind you I'm still missing two of the shows and accompanying movies since they have yet to be fully subbed.

Among those Heartcatch is my highest rated Precure show with a score of 10, masterpiece. So if there is one Precure show to watch it is that one, even the most critical of anime fans will agree.

Bandai went and released figuarts of the girls which I bought as I shown you all before in some of my photo stories. Then Bandai went and released the powered up versions as exclusives which I bought as well with only Cure Moonlight here being left.

May

Did you guys watch Sword Art Online? Best 14 episode show I watched last year!

I really liked how SAO actually felt like a real MMO, unlike say .hack where The World really is more like a straight up RPG than an MMO. I saw some people complaining about how the figma didn't really look like Kirito. I think he looks just fine though, pretty much how he did in the promotional material.

Originally I wasn't planning on getting Kirito, not a big fan of him, but that changed because...

June

... I really liked how figma Asuna looks! That pouting face of hers totally sold me plus I think the sword art skill effect is pretty neat too.

Yup, this figma realy showcases how nice Asuna was in that 14 episode anime. A capable fighter who would solve murder mysteries, kill the guy attempting to murder her boyfriend and she even cooked delicious virtual meals! Definitively much better than some damsel in distress that ends up locked in a cage like a bird just waiting for an invincible Gary Sue hero to rescue her.

I should really stop being obsessive about getting sets now that I think about it.

Fall 2013

I'm also getting another Dollfie... sigh...

I always told myself I will never buy another Dollfie, that's just silly. Even when my favorite Reimu got a Dollfie I did not buy her, not even when I got a job and had lots of disposable income. I don't have the space for another one, I barely even take pictures of Nanoha I told myself.

Then Volks dropped a bomb on me. They made a Dollfie of my all time favorite character, even more so than Reimu. Only reason I don't own more Kos-Mos stuff is because it's so darn expensive to buy it on the second hand market like Alter's V4 Kos-Mos or Volks 1/4th version for example.

In addition to that for once Volks produced a face sculpt that actually looks like the character, this Kos-Mos dollfie looks just like she did in Xenosaga Episode III.

With all that said I'm so getting another Dollfie. I look forward to it, I always liked fan art putting Kos-Mos in casual clothing and stuff like school uniforms. I also was curious about a Dollfie with a bigger bust but never felt the need or desire to get one for Nanoha. Although I will probably leave Kos-Mos as is and not change her wig or eyes.

This list has much more stuff than I would like, then again for a good chunk of it I should have already gotten it by now or by this month. Sigh... why did GSC have to go and change factories and why did Alter accept their offer to go along too?

Wonfes should also be going around the time this post is published I wonder what we will see there. Honestly, I been pretty uninterested in the latest scaled figure releases and reservations with a handful of exceptions and there hasn't been a show or game where I really wish I could get a figure of character in a while either.

With that this list is done, until next time peeps!

Let us commence with an All-Out Attack! Alter's Aegis - ART WORKS ver.

Hello everyone, today we shall take a look at my favorite girl from the marvelous Shin Megami Tensei Persona 3 games, Aigis.

As mentioned the lovely Aigis originates from the PS2 and PSP RPG Persona 3. Which is a spin off of the long running Shin Megami Tensei series of RPGs from Atlus.

Aigis is one of the several party members that you recruit throughout the game. She is an anti-Shadow weapon developed by the Kirijo group which are the main backers of the party through the game.

In other words, she is a robot created to beat your resident monsters in Persona 3 created by your party's benefactors.

I was captivated by Aigis even before I played the game when I saw this illustration which was included in the art book with the special edition of the game.

I really love Aigis' visual design so much. She has this old school, steam punk style that I find rather cool, even more so now since robot girls seem to be out of vogue.

Speaking of which, this really nice rendition of Aigis is based on an illustration by Shigenori Soejima who is the character designer for the several iterations of the Persona 3 and Persona 4 games.

I actually own the art book that contains this illustration. If you are a fan of Soejima's works, or a fan of the newer series of Persona games then this book is for you. I specially like the interview included at the end.

When I was playing the game I was so anxious to finally be able to have her in my party, alas she joins about halfway through the game or so.

After she joined Aigis was a main stay in my party even if at times it was disadvantageous for certain areas or bosses.

Luckily enough for me in P3:FES, which was a tweaked re-release of P3 with extra content, contained an epilogue where Aigis was the protagonist.

Boy did I get my fill as this epilogue was a nice long 30 hours worth of unadulterated dungeon crawling fun.

I really, really like Persona 3 so an extra 30 hours worth of dungeon crawling to learn and experience more about the events of the game and the characters seemed welcomed.

Persona 3 was one of those games that came along, where it picked my interest and just blew me away.

Everything from the visual design of the game, the character design, the music, the setting was something new and fresh to me.

The contemporary setting of the then near 2009, the modern Japanese metropolis setting was something that I had not experienced before.

After all until that time, the RPGs that I had played had been set in either fantasy, steam punk, or space operas.

The unique style Soejima has gave the game a unique look I hadn't seen before and has come to become part of the series since then.

The music by Shoji Meguru is one of the most memorable things I experience in the game, his mixture of jazzy, hip hop and rocking tunes was something completely new for me. His work on Persona 3 and 4 are among the most memorable gaming soundtracks I ever heard.

Perfect example of this would the battle themes for Persona 3 and Persona 4.

I really love Persona 3, if I ever sat down and made a top 10 or even a top 5 list of favorite RPGs this game along with Persona 4 would be up in the top 3.

You wanna know how much I love this game?

I bought it four times, the special edition of the original release, the updated release of P3:FES, the portable rendition of P3P and now the PSN release of P3:FES.

As for the figure itself, the sculpting of the body is really nice.

Random person who came to this blog before, here you go, your "sexy robot ass" that you searched for and some arrived here.

The base is pretty simple and compact, reminiscent of the dungeons of the game. Aigis attaches with a single peg on the side of her left leg, she does not actually rest on the base.

The one thing that I love to bits are all the small details included on the figure such as the opened chamber on Aigis guns showing the single cartridge loaded.

The writing that you can find on her such as her shoulders, arm bad, head band and so on.

The mechanical bits that you find such as the wiring on her arm or her guns on her wrists.

The tearing on the coverings of her legs and her hips are quite nice.

I love her face quite a bit, her bright blue eyes, her lips, the faint blush on her cheeks, her nice long eye lashes. Aigis is one pretty gal.

About the only thing I did not like was her hair, I would have preferred a matte finish rather than the semi translucent that Alter went for.

This figure has gone on to become one of my favorites in my collection, at 1/6th she is quite an imposing figure, I think Alter really outdid themselves this time

Perhaps I am a bit biased since I love Aigis to bits.

That's all for now, hope you liked the pictures were I put a bit more effort than usual.

One last thing to mention, an email subscription widget has been added to the block. Works quite nice and you can get the complete post with full sized imagines with the convenience of automated emails. Give it a try if you want, tried it out myself with last week's post and it works quite nicely.

Pre-order list: the "dammit dollar, why are you so weak" edition!!!

So this time, me and exilehero are doing a pre-order list together. The pre-order list from last time, which was all my stuff.

February

To start off is a figure both exilehero and myself have sought after for some time now.

Annelotte from Queen's Blade Rebellion. I know nothing about the OVA's or about Annelotte herself but all those pictures on MFC sure have skewed my idea of her.

One disappointing thing though, I had imagined her voiced by Yukana sounding just like Tessa does. Alas she is voiced by Aya Endo who couldn't be further from that high pitched cutsy voice... oh well... Aya Endo is still nice though.

I pretty much wanted her because of the pictures in MFC and after seening the OVA I wanted her even more, the Elf instructor included. She has such exploitable expressions, 3 really nice faces to tease her with. I also like that she's a girl knight, I think I like that sort of thing. You don't see many girls with functional armor out there. Not that she keeps it on for long, being Queen's Blade and all.

This figure makes me quite happy, Makoto is another one of my grail figures.

Been wanting her for ages but I never saw it for sale anywhere at all. A helpful soul on figure.fm directed me to a personal sale on ebay, after checking everything out and for a reasonable price no less, I bought Makoto.

Time to look forward to the likely emotional breakdown I will have reliving Kanon when I get to do a photo shoot for this figure.

I really don't get why you got this one at all. I just can't understand having not watched Kanon so I can't relate to the emotional response. Being relativity new to figures I see this one as kinda plain in comparison to today's. But hell whatever makes you happy. Though now that I see her from the backside in this picture she does have a rather nice fan-service-y skirt. I just don't understand grail figures.

This is a pair of figures I have been eyeing for over a year.

When they where first released last year I did not see much interest in them, only a few pictures on flickr. I can probably make a guess why people disliked them though.

Still I find them to be charming, after all they remind me of one big reason I like Touhou, everyone has their personal take on the characters. These two figures are the sculptor's take on Reimu and Marisa. I'm getting both since you can't have Reimu without Marisa and vice versa.

I don't really like this Reimu that much, but I like Marisa. Reimu looks kinda scrawny from the photo's I've seen, and her face doesn't look very Reimuish to me. Marisa fits the skinnier look a little better to me. She has more defined legs form what I've seen. But more Touhou stuff is always good. I'm still surprised you just went and ordered both.

March

Ah Mami, the ever so popular puella magi that got a bit ahead of herself.

I still plan on collecting all five girls, already got Madoka and Homura and next up is Mami.

Such a shame she got delayed from January until March though.

They included the angsty face even though it was just like 5 seconds or something from the anime. Poor Mami will never live it down. I like how all the Madoka girls come with a bunch of weapons. And it's a good thing it got delayed, now my March shipping costs are shared evenly, yay!

Are you all ready for a squidding invasion  ~ de geso!

Ika Musume is a type of character that makes me so happy the figma line exists. While a scaled figure of her would be nice it would not be able to give me as much fulfillment as this figma will. To be able to relieve all those memorable antics of Ika Musume's invasions would be impossible. Quite frankly, it's because she is a figma that she can live up to the potential of her character.

I'm also getting her. I really liked the Ika Musume anime, it's such an emotional rollercoaster, and because of it I can think of a lot of photos I want to take of her. I'm a little woried that her tentacles will get bent out of shape though.

I know very little of Sengoku Rance, one thing is that it contains interpretations of historical figures. Two the protagonist will rape any girl in sight, including a genderbend version of himself. Three it contains really cute looking girls. I remember the bigger scaled version of Kenshin that FREEing did a while back, always caught my attention but since I knew nothing about the character I never bought it. The figma is a nice interpretation, really love that cute blushing face. Good thing exilhero is buying one.

Erm, well Rance doesn't actually rape himself as a girl, that's just a Bad End, but the other two are correct. Anyway I did play Sengoku Rance and I got way more than I expected. In the end I was actually playing because it was fun rather than for, you know, ecchi stuff. Kenshin is one of the cuter girls in the game so I natually wanted to have her. That FREEing Kenshin was the first figure I actually considered buying, but I thought it was ridiculously priced at the time. I hope they make more Figmas of this series, maybe Senhime or Sill, hell Rance would be nice for funny comics.

Next up is that idiotic puella magi.

While I still dislike Sayaka a bit, I also still think she is the better looking of the puella magi in terms of her design. I look forward to her addition to my collection of puella magi figmas.

Plus that "unlimited blade works" she has going on with her cutlasses is pretty neat.

Ehh I don't know why you hate her so much, she was an idiot and all but I don't see it justifying so much hate. And I also don't get why you like how she looks, her design looks kinda plain to me. I still wonder what those triggers on her swords are for.

Alter's Persona 3 figures are some of my more sought after past releases, but god, those second hand market prices.

Luckily enough for me Alter came to the rescue with the release this awesome looking version of Aigis. This version is even more detailed looking than Alter's past efforts with Aigis, a perfect recreation of the illustration that this figure is based on.

Although it was annoying Aigis was delayed not once but twice, she was supposed to be released in January. I guess my lucky break of figures releasing on time is over now that 2012 has started.

This is my first scaled Aigis, only got the two figmas thank you very much.

Don't you already have enough Aigis figures already? I rember you had like 4 or something. Well she does look pretty nice I'll give you that. I really like how detailed she is and how striking her blue eyes are. I always thought that her robot hooves looked kinda gross though.

I have no idea who this girl is other than she comes from a visual novel from Nitro+.

I do remember debating whether I wanted to buy her. I like maids, I like the pose, I love her pouting expression, a nice tanned girl is nice once in a while too.

In the end though, I didn't have to worry whether to buy or not.

Because I decided to get it. I also don't know much about her, but when I first saw her it was love at first sight. I mean delicious tsundere brown elf girl in a maid outfit! How can I NOT have it? I was on the fence with her for a bit though. Her face reminded me of this one doujinshi where bad things happen to enslaved brown elf girls. Which reminds me of this other H anime where brown elf girls get abused some more. They just can't catch a break. But I researched a bit and found out a little more about her and now I see the face as embaressed rather than sad.

April

See this bodacious looking sexy woman?

She is one of the few things that genuinely scared me when I played a game. God this woman, I will never forget her introduction into the battlefield.

Anyways, I don't really like this figure, I think the body looks too elongated. I'm quite happy with Alter's other Selvaria which I should really take out of her box one day and snap some pictures of her.

Man, the only comment you make of the figure and it's a negative one. I think she looks fine really. The designs from Valkyria Chronicles are kinda like this. I think the figure follows the original drawings rather than the game's design. Raita's drawings tend to be a little exagerated in expression (and breast size), which makes them appealing to me. I was indecisive on whether to get her for a while because her boobs look a little too big and because that shower head is is just stupid. I took a good look at her face though, and I remembered why I like Selvaria so much in the first place. Anyway I can't wait to see her when she arrives later in the year.

I arrived too late to the figure collecting business by the time I got into Zero no Tsukaima so I missed out on all the cute Louise figures.

Luckily enough for me, Alter decided to re-release probably the one Louise figure I sough the most. Actually lately I been getting some nice re-releases from figure manufactures.

Anyways, I find this Louise really cute, just look at that expression. I find it quite an interesting figure as it does not depict Louise in her familiar school uniform or that well known maid outfit she wears.

I really like Louise. She's probably my favorite Kugimiya Rie tsundere. Violent temper aside, when she's dere she's really DERE, it just melts my heart each time she's embarassed by whatever Saito is trying to do to her. And because I like Louise so much it was hard to pass on this figure but in the end I did. I can't seem to find a Louise figure that I absolutely love.

Here we go, the last of the puella magi.

I don't know what to say, Kyouko is probably the girl I like the least. I don't hate her, I just don't like her either. I think I ended up finding her boring or something.

Well, whatever, I look forward to get her to reenact some delicious yuri with her and Sayaka. Oh man, when I get her it's gonna be so cool to finally have all five girls together, gonna make me feel quite satisfied for sure.

Kyouko is probably my favorite Madoka girl. I like her kinda rough personality, her long red hair tied up in a pony tail, and her character design. Not that many people like her for some reason. As much as I liker her I'm not really getting her. I can't do much with just one Madoka girl, and Miette is getting her so I'll get to see her anyway.

May

Much like last year the figure I look forward to the most is a rendition of Yukari. Reimu might be my favorite Touhou girl but Yukari is the one who gets the nicer figures. She comes with some nice options to display her.

Although I'm quite weary of this figure. It has a quite higher price than a similar figure her size normally goes for, plus she is by QuesQ a manufacturer that I have yet to see up close. Reviews of their figures have turned out fine so I have high hopes for their work.

First thing I said when when I saw her was "Ok I'm buying this", then I saw the price, and said, "Ok I'm buying this", then Miette said he was getting it too and I said, "order two". I might have been joking but she looks really damn detailed. The more I see of her the more I want her. I really really like how she looks in the photos so far so I have high hopes for her. The price tag doesn't looks so unreasonable now. Did I mention I like Yukari?

One day, I was noticing a severe lack of swim suit figures in my collection. I only have two of them. I also noticed that I was being a bad Nanoha fan and skipping on her figure releases. Finally I noticed my ratio of loli Nanoha to adult Nanoha was not equal.

Then Alter came to the rescue, not only do I get an adult sexy Nanoha to balance things out, she is also wearing a swim suit. No wonder Alter is my favorite manufacturer.

This figure is based on a poster featuring Nanoha, Fate and Vivio leaning against a wall. The inclusion of a chunk of that wall makes me hope Alter will release a Fate and Vivio to match this Nanoha.

This one looks really nice. Ever since I got summer dress Fate I've become somewhat of a Fate fan, so the first thing I thought when I saw Nanoha was, "Is there a Fate like this?". Sadly not (yet). I've been meaning to get another Fate figure but I can't quite pick one I like. I kinda wanted to get the enormous 1/4th swimsuit Fate but I'd rather wait and see if they make one to acompany this Nanoha... which was supposed to be the main focus of my comment here. Oh well.

To make sure we do not have a lack of swimsuit clad girls during the summer exilehero is buying this Cecilia. Cecilia is my favorite IS girl, I think she is a fun gal, she is also voiced by Yukana.

I been curious about the Beach Queens line for a while, never got interested in any of the figures to actually buy one. The one exception was Biri Biri but alas, I missed out on that release and re-release. Only one thing I dislike already is their size, 1/10 makes them kinda tiny.

I've been wanting a Cecillia figure for a while and this one was the one I liked the most from what I've seen. Miette's been telling me about swimsuit figures in the summer for a while so she takes care of a couple things at a time. Hmm I didn't even realize she was 1/10th scale. I love her drill hair!

This figure I find quite charming. I'm sure only Touhou fans, by that I mean actual fans who play the games, will enjoy this figure.

ZUN, creator of Touhou has a rather unique art style. This figure is based on his art rather than some artistic interpretation of it. In fact this is pretty much the menu screen for the twelfth Touhou game, Undefined Fantastic Object.

The figure itself is really cheap, more along a prize figure, it's also from a manufacturer that I never hear of before. Still as a Touhou fan I can't pass this up, it's just too amusing.

This one is just silly.

June

Alright, raise your hand if you didn't see this coming?

After Robocop I suppose the figma line is branching more besides cute girls and Kamen Riders.

There is also apparently a Link figma now so I wonder what other Nintendo characters will come out. Some people were being idiots on 4chan one time because this Samus is based on her Other M incarnation. I liked the game, a nice Metroid game, a nice action game, a nice gamey game.

My biggest complain is that Samus was not voiced by Jenifer Hale like she was in the Prime games.

I mean, just imagine, Samus sounding as cool as FemShep!

Oh don't remind me of the Prime fanboys, oh the humanity! Anyway I'm also getting her. I'm kinda glad that recently I've been seeing more video game characters getting figures. I already have a million ideas for Samus. It's easy for me to come up with stories for game characters it seems.

Here is Rita from Tales of Vesperia the game I bought an Xbox 360 for. For some reason I really, really liked the party characters a lot in Tales of Vesperia. That single handedly made Vesperia my favorite Tales game.

I did find it odd that Alter went and release a figure of Yuri, the protagonist, and Flynn, his friend and rival, before any of the girls.

Now here we are and Alter is releasing Rita, here I hope Alter does the other girls too. Give me Judy, Judy! Man I love that woman!

I've yet to play Vesperia. I was gonna play it and then literaly that day the PS3 version with extra content was anounced. So I decided to wait for the PS3 version to get localized to play it... AND I'M STILL WAITING! haha.. I'll play it some day.. *sigh*, on the 360. Oh yeah, only Miette is getting this one.

Another Ques Q figure, this time of the the titular Neptune in her goddess form as Purple Heart from Hyperdimension Neptuna.

My one disappointment from this figure is the lack of the armor that goes along with this form in the game.

That game was sure a mixed bag. A game where you play as the anthropomorphization of the current console war and their fight against piracy. If you are a person who has been gaming for years and watching anime for years the reference fest that is this game is a rather amusing experience.

Too bad playing the game itself was a pain in the ass.

I think she looks very nice. For some reason I really like her face and hair and eyes and body and suit. Though I've never really played Neptunia, so that really keeps me from buying it.

Pre-order list: the OMG so much $$$ edition!

It's been a while since I done one of these.

Last time it was back on late June.

October

Ergh, so annoying I was so looking forward to have Yukari waiting for me at home after I came back from my business trip. Alas, she was delayed until the end of October, I hope there is no more delays for her.

Everybody watched Working!! right? Such a fun show, out of all the girls I must say Yamada is my favorite of the bunch. Such a fun character, Alter's rendition sure displays that.

Man, I was so hyped for this figma. I mean, it's Robocop, Robocop!

Much like with Phat's Yukari Robocop was delayed until the end of October.

This is odd, I been collecting figmas ever since their introduction a few years back. All of them have been exclusively girls, now though I want quite a few guys.

I look forward to getting Touma, been wanting to continue that CNN9 report I did back in February.

So, I know how people feel about Kirino and Kuroneko but what about Ayase?

I don't really like her but just look at those faces and cuffs, she is bound to be fun for pictures. Even more so with that unluky Touma figma I'm getting.

November

November can't come soon enough, I can't wait to get Homura my favorite Puella Magi.

Although, I must say, Homura needs more guns, no assault rifles? no light machine guns? Makes me a bit sad.

For a while Kuroko was my favorite Index girl. She is such a perv, I love it.

Sadly I gotta pay extra for her much like with Biri Biri and Misaka-imouto because of bundled in game. Still I look forward to use her on that CNN9 report continuation.

December

Earlier this year my lack of employment led me to miss out on this awesome Dizzy figure.

As a fan on Guilty Gear and Dizzy, I'm happy to have the chance to rectify that.

So I hear NISA might bring the BRS game to the west, including may be that special edition from Japan.

From that game comes this version of BRS. I think she looks quite cool with the wings and the more manageable cannon.

I'm getting all the other Index figmas so no surprised I'm getting Index herself right?

I'm curious to see how the use of cloth will turn out with her and the other figmas that make use of it.

January

Joining Madoka and Homura is Mami.

Was she always this busty? I really don't remember her being this busty on the show. Anyways, I'm quite happy with the selection of expressions for Mami.

We all have figures we wished we had bought, or had the chance to buy.

The original Alter Aigis was one such figure for me, so I quickly jumped at the chance of owning this figure. After all Aigis is my favorite girl from Persona 3.

People go about how this and that character is GAR or manly but none can compare to Guts.

Just look at him, Guts kills the type of things that are final bosses on a daily basis. You want manliness go for the guy that kills Eldrich abominations as if it was a walk in the park.

February

Sigh... this girl... out of all the Puella Magi she was the one with the design I liked the most. Too bad the rest was a lost cause. Still I look forward to owning her, too bad there is no expression to go for when she snapped before she died.

March

I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait for Ika Musume next year. Everything that makes her so awesome is well represented in this figma. Plus just look at the crying face of her, so darn cute.

So there you have it, biggest pre-order list I had up until now. It's only missing one figure, the Queen's Blade version of Noel Vermillion but her exclusiveness and high price is making me hesitate to commit to buy her.

So, anyone getting any these?

"Wall-o-Figures"

Behold my version of what fellow comrade Tommy from the Inferno Project christened Wall-o-Figures. It's nice to finally being able to display my figures in a nice manner like this.

This also gave me the chance to finally open a few figures I had yet to unbox due to lack of space.

Although not as stylish as with glass shelves I'm quite pleased with the result. After all it was relative cheap and still leaves with space for future purchases.
