Although the plan was to go get some crepes we ended going to an aptly named restaurant the Japanese Kitchen where the meal is cooked by the chef at your table.
This being a fancier than usual restaurant the meal was more than one course.
For starters we had a small bowl of salad with the restaurants in-house dressing and a bowl of soup with some mushrooms.
The soup and salad were followed by some cooked vegetables seasoned with soy sauce.
Everyone agreed that the cucumber was specially delicious including the green veggie disliking Chiaki-sama.
Next up was a healthy portion of lobster for everyone.
Actually not really, the lobster was for the couple sharing the table with us. Would love to try it someday preferably if it's free.
For having gone to a Japanese restaurant we didn't really order Japanese dishes.
I ordered a New York steak, "cooked to perfection". One of my friends got our "town's best steak" with the last steak being mixed together with a "medley of vegetables seasoned in our [restaurant's] in-house sauce".
Not to worry at least one person got a Japanese dish.
Pretty interesting to me is that they used that list where you write down how many and what kind of sushi you want and give that to the waiter.
With our meal finally cooked, it was time to dig in. I must say Chiaki was pretty hungry and ready to dig in by this time.
Quite a delicious meal as Chiaki agrees with me after leaving an empty plate.
One thing that made me unhappy was the check though.
Hmm...writing this and looking and these pictures made my stomach growl.
